Tour de France Femmes : a Top 10 for Nadia

The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift ended on a high note for Winspace Orange Seal. The French ProTeam claimed a Top 10 finish on the final stage thanks to Nadia Gontova — an unexpected result that delighted the entire squad, given the exceptional level of competition throughout the women’s Grande Boucle.

The 9th and final stage from Praz-sur-Arly to Châtel was raced at full throttle, much like most of the previous stages. The Col de Joux-Plane played a decisive role in splitting the yellow jersey peloton, allowing the strongest riders to break clear. Winspace Orange Seal’s Canadian rider, Nadia Gontova, shone once again. After her 22nd place atop the Col de la Madeleine, she did even better on Sunday by securing 10th place.

"I’m really happy to finish the Tour with a Top 10 stage result. The Tour didn’t start off that well for me, but once we hit the mountains, I felt stronger and stronger," she said. "I thought I could aim for a Top 20, but today’s result exceeded my expectations. The race was absolutely crazy, so tough, but I’m glad I was able to finish the Tour feeling so strong."

Sports director Franck Renimel looked back on Winspace Orange Seal’s 2025 Tour: "We ended on a high note with Nadia’s 10th place. It’s exceptional. This was one of the toughest stages because of the mix of elevation, accumulated effort, and fatigue. The peloton blew apart on the very first climb, and seeing Nadia up front at that moment was already a great sign."

He also underlined the importance of the experience for the team as a whole: "We discovered a race of an extremely high level. Nine days against the world’s best riders builds a lot of fatigue, but coming out of a race like the Tour de France gives you so much experience. In the upcoming races, many of which will be at a lower level, our riders will have more confidence. We can expect results and see them push further in their efforts. The staff gave 100%. This was a learning experience for all of us, and it will make us even better in the future."

The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was also a unique opportunity to showcase the team’s partners: "We had a great Tour de France. The equipment was pushed to the limit for nine days — even since the start of the season — and we didn’t encounter any major issues. Winspace bikes are becoming increasingly well-known, especially when spectators see them in front of the team bus or on the car roof racks. I’ve worked with other brands before, but Winspace is among the very best," Renimel continued. "Lun Wheels complete the package perfectly. We didn’t suffer a single puncture, which is quite exceptional. Orange Seal did the job perfectly."
