Marine Allione in form at the Trofeo Binissalem-Andratx

The third French rider of the day, Marine Allione mastered the 107.5km course in the final round of the Mallorca Challenge. She finished in twentieth place, in a race marked by many curbs. Camille Fahy, Nadia Gontova, Florence Normand, Karolina Perekitko and Constance Valentin were also in contention.


For her first race of the season, the French climber didn't disappoint. In the leading group right up to the final climb, the 23-year-old cyclist claimed a top 20 finish. Winspace rider was able to control the wind. An encouraging result for the fourth-placed rider in the 2021 French Espoirs Championship."I'm happy with my place. Collectively, it was good",she commented.

The historic manager of the French team is delighted with the attitude of his riders. After arriving on Monday January 20 for a training camp to prepare the three races, the ProTeam riders"showed a good attitude", according to Jean-Christophe Barbotin. The result was two top 20 finishes and a top 10."The results are positive. The girls performed well. They help each other out and like each other". A constructive eight days for sporting director Damien Pommereau and coach Franck Renimel."This week has helped them find their place and their feet. It's a good first step", he says.

The positions are interesting",he explains."We're off to an encouraging start."The former professional cyclist knows all there is to know about being a DS, but he has"familiarised himself with the new tools available", in particular the"earpieces". The Villepinte native claims to have"a very good understanding with Franck Renimel"."We have the same values and the same way of thinking. The staff are very competitive."The WOS riders will be back in action on 9 February, at the Vuelta CV Feminas.
