Last weekend wasn’t only about the UCI Road World Championships! Gravel also took the spotlight with the French Championships in the discipline. Constance Valentin shone by claiming a fine bronze medal.

Châtellerault, in the Vienne region, hosted Sunday’s French Gravel Championships, a cycling discipline mixing road and dirt tracks. Winspace Orange Seal was represented on the start line by Marine Allione and Constance Valentin. While Marine secured 8th place, Constance managed to step onto the podium, taking third place at the end of the race.

“I’m super happy with this result, which almost brings my 2025 season to a close. It was a long race, a bit strange at the start, riding in a peloton. Then, after a long technical descent, the breakaway formed. A mix of technical and physical sections then made the selection,” explained the 27-year-old rider. “Physically, I wasn’t at my very best, but my background as a mountainbiker really helped me.”

This bronze medal adds to an already strong season for Constance, who had also impressed at the French Road Championships in June in Les Herbiers (Vendée), where she finished an excellent 5th at the Mont des Alouettes. Now back in the spotlight in gravel, she shares her joy: “I’m really happy with this podium, it’s a way to thank all the sponsors who supported us throughout the season.”

Constance will return to the road this Sunday, lining up at the Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar (1.Pro) in Spain.
